5.0L Coyote Adrenalin
Our latest in-house project is our 2008 Sport Trac Adrenalin that originally featured the anemic 4.6 3v engine. Ford decided not to build us an awesome powerplant in these trucks as they did in their 2005 Concept version, so we’ve decided to take matters into our own hands. We’ve already experimented with a complete Shrader Performance built supercharged 5.4L 3v engine in this truck. But with the limited abilities of the 6-speed Auto transmission, and it’s gas guzzling nature, we’re now going to try an all new approach.
As the title already suggests, we’ve dumped a completely new engine and manual transmission swap from a 2011 Mustang GT. Converting an auto truck to a manual is not an easy undertaking, but we like doing things the hard way, and staying unique. So get ready for some amazing burnouts and high RPM blasts, because this Adrenalin is going to become the first of its kind to live up to its name!
UPDATE: The Coyote Adrenalin recently made 414 rwhp on a Dynojet chassis dyno. Listening to this truck scream at WOT is quite amazing and unexpected. We’re getting tons of looks driving this thing around town, and are enjoying the manual 6spd gearbox.
