We added a new Dynojet 224x dynamometer in 2013 to serve our customers for dyno pulls and SCT custom tuning. Air Conditioned Shop with exhaust evacuation system for a more pleasant experience. Give us a call to get on the schedule!
The results are in from 5.0 Mustang Magazine’s King of the Street competition for 2012. We were the oldest car there, the only 2V engine, the only 4.6 engine, and we still managed to tie for 3rd place with 71 pts. Brightmare did well, with a 9.86 at 146 in the drag strip portion and put down 834 rwhp on Holley’s dynojet. Read the full article here!
We’ve expanded our 94-04 Mustang Airbag Delete panels to now include various vinyl coverings. Choose from our two newest additions, Brushed Aluminum and Brushed Steel, or our Carbon Fiber, and textured ABS finishes.
2011 5.0 gets blown and makes 643 hp!

BrightMare nearing parachute status
Another impressive track outing with our 2v Vortech Mustang. On June 9th at zMax Dragway we brought the car out for some passes on slicks. She went a 9.86 at 147 mph. With a little more fine-tuning on the launch, we should be able to whittle this down fairly easily.
Keith’s ’99 GT features our Shrader-built 304ci mod motor with a Boss big bore block & Trickflow 2V heads. At 26 psi, this car recently put down 775 rwhp on 112 unleaded fuel using a Vortech YSi. Read more in the feature story in 5.0 Magazine’s April 2013 issue!
We’re finally finishing up Justin’s white 97 GT. Now featuring a 298ci stroker with Fox Lake ported TFS heads and a whole bunch of air supplied by a YSi Vortech supercharger. It laid down 762 at only 6500 and 21 psi with E-85 fuel.
We are now wrapping up our Coyote 5.0L engine swap in our ’08 Sport Trac Adrenalin project truck. We made 414 rwhp from this naturally aspirated beast, with bigger plans for the future. It also now has a manual transmission swap to a 6spd gearbox to allow for some awesome burnout competitions and killer videos. You can see more under our Project Vehicles category or follow us on Facebook.

In case you didn’t know, Shrader Performance also builds high quality Rear Seat Delete kits for 87-up Ford Mustangs, Chevy Camaros, Pontiac GTO, Mini Cooper, and lots more! We use ABS Plastic as the foundation, not wood like some others.
BrightMare goes 6.45 at 114 mph
Farmington Dragway was the site of a new personal record for our supercharged E-85 machine this November. The weather was perfect for some passes, and BrightMare didn’t disappoint. Launching on slicks, on a 150 shot of nitrous, the stock 3650 trans held up to the punishment, and delivered a 6.45 ET at 114 mph in the 1/8. And still sports a valid registration and cold A/C.
Although we primarily do Ford engines, ocassionially we step outside the box to work on something different like Mark’s gorgeous 2010 Camaro SS. We installed a polished Kenne Bell 2.8 on the stock L99 engine. With a new Borla exhaust system, and 9psi of boost, it made 507 rwhp on the Dynojet through an automatic with a custom tune.
One of the builds we did this year was this 323ci stroker mod motor for our customer Charles. Featuring a BOSS big bore block, Kellogg 3.75 stroker crank, DSS pistons, Manley rods, Trickflow 2v heads and the best of everything coupled with a Vortech YSi, made a tire scorching 651 rwhp in a daily driven street car with A/C.
If you haven’t seen it yet, Speed TV invited us to bring our yellow Mustang to a special episode of Pass TIme in ’09 featuring racing celebrities as contestants. Casey Mears and his crew chief were our contestants, along with Ken Herring of course, guessing how fast we’d run. The car surprised everyone. This is an old engine combo that is now changed, but was still potent back then. Check out the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfGKMUb1GCA
